I am beginning to believe that we spend half of our life trying to figure out what our purpose in life is and the latter half, trying to figure out if we accomplished it. We all want to believe we were put on this earth for a reason. Some may feel they have discovered it, excelled at it, and left their mark in the world through great works or deeds. Then, there are the rest of us who either never … [Read more...]
Just Living Life
Not long ago, someone made a remark about my blog writing being my memoirs. It wasn’t said kindly either. I was shocked at that. Yes, I write personal things. Yes, they are true and did occur in my life. Are they my memoirs? Hardly. I don’t think my life has been interesting enough for that. The lines are … [Read more...]
How Are You Really?
Have you ever been so very tired and not even sure why? Are you the one always looked at as the one who will take care of everything? The person who always comes through? Wouldn’t you just like someone to ask you how you are? Maybe more than once and with real concern? There are days when it just hits you. You realize that you are beyond tired. Like it takes too much effort to even say just how … [Read more...]
Getting to Know Your Neighbors
We have lived in our little house on the lake for just over 5 years now. It’s been a safe, quiet place all of that time. Most people didn’t lock their doors and certainly not their vehicles. We decorate for holidays with no worry that things will get damaged or vandalized. It’s not unusual for a place that hasn’t seen a problem. It was one of the appeals of living here. We felt safe even though we … [Read more...]
